Probate Valuation and Disposal


Coverwood provided specialist probate valuation advice to negotiate a £200,000 inheritance tax saving for the client.

 Following a period of marketing, Coverwood ran a competitive tender process resulting in the successful sale of the property for a value in excess of the clients expectations


Personal Property Relief

Coverwood were instructed on behalf of a large firm of lawyers to value a residential country estate with regards mitigating the capital gains tax liability.

A sale had recently been agreed but due to the nature of the use of the property there was potentially a CGT liability. Coverwood sought to maximise the element known as personal property relief to reduce the CGT payable.

SIPP Office Pension Valuation


Coverwood were instructed to value both the rental and freehold elements of a central Surrey office building.

 The client occupied the building with their own business whilst the property was held within their SIPP. A valuation was required for the 5 yearly rent review whilst an update was required on the capital valuation.
